Our thanks to our sponsors, demonstrating leadership, ambition and vision in the public sector and beyond

Local Partnerships is a joint venture between HM Treasury and the Local Government Association. We help the public sector deliver major projects and change at the local level ensuring key priorities are delivered and clients secure excellent value for money.

We work with public sector organisations across Wales. We play a critical role in delivering the Welsh Government’s Waste Infrastructure Procurement Programmes, helping meet ambitious recycling and sustainability targets, whilst delivering value for money. Our team supports the delivery of other programmes in Wales, in particular a pipeline of public sector local renewable energy generation and efficiency projects. We provide the expertise to fulfil the £500 million of PPP projects included in the 21st Century Schools Programme, conduct stakeholder engagement programmes and support councils to deliver operational PFI savings.

The Economic Development Team of Cardiff Council can provide existing or new businesses looking to set up in the city with advice on identifying and securing loans, grants and equity from a range of organisations including the Council’s Capital Cardiff Fund, Welsh Government, Finance Wales, European Commission and specialist funding bodies.

The funds are potentially available to support small and medium sized enterprises, large companies and social enterprises. Cardiff also has a designated Enterprise Zone and businesses setting up in this zone can potentially attract a range of financial benefits. See what financial assistance is available.
